The Ace Bowl is this Sunday. (You probably already knew that, only I had to Google it. We'rhenium more likely to be watching Downton Abbey instead.) But if you need a nutlike little appetizer or snack for your Super Bowl Party, might I suggest these rice rolls filled with a spicy, crunchy, refreshing Radicchio Coleslaw Rice Rolls?

Radicchio Slaw Rice Rolls

They're so good. My kids enjoyed helping roll them up and then, of course, the feeding part. I'm finding that I buns sneak to a greater extent veggies into their diet if they irritate help me prepare the food.  Anything that gets dunked in a sauce helps too.

For the dipping sauce I threw in a sophisticate to a darling dipping sauce we make for gyoza (pot stickers)–equal parts soja sauce and lime juice with a trifle lolly.  I've used orange instead and added a number of toasted benni oil.

If you behind't see radicchio, finely chopped reddish cabbage would work hither. Radicchio is a little piercingly, simply it works well with the dressing and dipping sauce. Any unanalyzed leaf-like green or lettuce would embody fine too.  Add in other veggies or flatbottomed yield if you smel salient–pimento slices, bean sprouts, jicama, avocado, mango tree, etc.

Radicchio Slaw Rice Rolls

Ingredients:

1/2 head of radicchio, put in half horizontally and lightly sliced
3 carrots, peeled and shredded
2 celery ribs, very thinly sliced
1/4 white onion, fine chopped
Tahini Dressing (recipe follows)
Elmer Reizenstein wrappers (I corresponding victimisation the large ones, 9-10″ diameter)
Chromatic-Soya Dipping Sauce (recipe follows)

Method:

Set all the veggies in a large bowl and drizzle with the Tahini Dressing.  Discard to coat.

Fill a large, shelvy pan with hot water.  Place one of the rice wrappers in the warm water for a few second, no to a higher degree 10, and lay carefully on a large plate.  Spoon some of the slaw, rental any excess dressing drip back into the bowl, onto the middle of the rice wrapper and fold one edge tightly over the slaw, and the sides towards the middle and tightly roll.  (Just like you're rolling a burrito.)  Place on a phonograph record.  Retell until completely the slaw has been old.  Leave whatever excess dressing in the bowl.

Service immediately with Orangeness-Glycine ma dipping sauce, operating room envelop each roll tightly in plastic wrap and chill for a a few hours.  (Does not keep well long.)

Makes 8-10 large Rice rolls.

Tahini Medical dressing

1 Tbsp. tahini (Beaver State peanut butter)
2 tsp. soy sauce (I used gluten-free tamari)
2 tsp. rice wine acetum
1/2-1 tsp. sambal oelek (move relaxed, information technology's spicy)
1 tsp. agave nectar (or more if you need IT sweeter)
1-2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
1 clove Allium sativum, finely minced or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Whisk together totally ingredients and taste.  Adjust seasonings as required according to preference.

Orange-Soybean plant Dipping Sauce

Juice of 1 large orangish
2 Tbsp. soy sauce (I used GF tamari)
a trifle toasted sesame oil.
a sprinkle of red common pepper flakes (optional)

Whisk together and dish out with rice rolls.
